I created this page not only because it's fun but because I wanted to get in touch with other people who shared similar interests. And what better way to do it, than on the Web. I got into Anime in the mid 80's, that I think was the golden age of Anime in America. Do you remeber Space Pirate Captain Harlock? Macron 1 (Goshogun)? Mighty Orbots? Transzor Z (Mazinger)?...or what about Galaxy Rangers?... Also there was Bionic Six, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs (an animated version based of the likes of Space Sheriffs Gavan, Shider,Metaldar, etc), and who could forget Voltron (Go lion).....or the horrible Carl Macek project, Robotech (Which consisted of three shows:Macross, Southern Cross, and Mosepda)...but whether you like it or you don't, Robotech opened the eyes of many kids and young teens, and brought them into the world of Anime.........Also during the 80's, I remember watching Ultraman, Spectreman and Dynaman.....The Ninja boom that brought us those cool ninja movies starring Sho Kosugi (the awesome ninja master)....Late Night kung fu movies.....and the King of Monsters, Godzilla!!!!!!......When I was in junior high, I really go into the Japanese culture...it was a very influencial time for me...I began watching Japanese dramas (Subtitled in english) on the local TV station ch.26 (Fuji TV) and I was hooked ever since. Later in the 90's. I went to my first anime con (Anime Expo 93).....and I saw Kamen Rider for the first time....I thought it was cool!!!....and now here I am, 4 years later, an Otaku with a thrist for anything that has cool monsters, martial arts action, sex, comedy....and everything in between.
