Welcome to "Let's Learn Nihongo Together", I hope this well help you in your ventures to either converse in Japanese or to meet
Japanese people. The picture above is my lovely and gracious friend, Carina Ngai. Her and I share interest in Japanese culture. She inspired me to
put up this page to share my limited knowledge of Nihongo with others. So, here it is. Ready everyone?? Ikku wayo!!!
Let's start with basic words and expressions:
- Ohayo gozaimasu=good morning!
- Konnichi wa=Good afternoon!
- Konban wa=Good evening!
- Sayonara/Ja mata ato de=Goodbye/See you later!
- Ikaga desu ka?/Genki desu ka??=How are you??
- Hai, genki desu=Yes, I'm fine.
- Watashi mo genki desu=I'm fine, too.
- Domo arigato gozaimasu/Arigato gozaimasu=Thank you very much/Thank you
- Iie, Do Itashimashite=You're welcome!
- Gomen Nasai/Sumimasen=I'm sorry
- Daijobu desu ka??=Are you all right??
- Wakarimasu ka??=Do you understand??
- Hai, wakarimasu=Yes, I understand
- Iie, wakarimasen=I don'tr understand
- Moshi Moshi=Hello?? (when on the phone)
- Nan desu ka???=what is it??
- Dare desu ka??=Who are you??
