Baal Koray Tips
19:16 - There is a rare trope in this parasha, a shalshelet.

The Shalshelet appears only four times in the Torah. It is possible to remember each of these Shalshelets with a chssidishe vort about fighting the Yetzer Harah. The first Shalshelet is on the word Vayitmah'ma (he procrastinated). If the Yetzer Harah tries to convince you to do something wrong, it may be difficult to refuse. At first, try to procrastinate. Tell the Yetzer Harah that you'll do it later. If procrastination doesn't help, try the second method, from Parashat Chayei Sarah - Vayomer. Talk. Explain to the Yetzer Harah that you're not interested. If that isn't enough, try the third method, from Parashat Vayeshev - Vayema'en (he refused). Say no. If even that fails, then use the final method, from Parashat Vayikra - Vayishchat (he slaughtered). At this stage you have no choice but to slaughter the Yetzer Harah.
