Futurama Episodes Trivia:
After the September 11th terrorist attacks in the U.S., the opening scene where a rocket crashes into a huge tv screen was removed. The scene was added back in to episodes beginning the following April.
The name for the series, "Futurama" comes from the General Motors exhibit at the 1939 World's Fair in New York City. Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth comes from real-life inventor Philo T. Farnsworth, the inventor of television, whose invention was shown in public for the first time at the 1939 World's Fair.
A nerdy pizza delivery boy is accidentally cryogenically transferred to the 31st century. There, he meets the beautiful, one-eyed Leela and the incorrigible alcoholic robot Bender and discovers he's a billionaire thanks to 1,000 years of accrued interest. Read More
