Elle est une association au sens des 'articles 60 et suivants du Code civil suisse, regroupant carillonneurs, campanologues et amateurs de cloches en Suisse. La GCCS est un membre de la Fédération mondiale du Carillon (FMC). |

| Die GCCS wurde am am 3. August 1991 - dem Jahr des siebenhundertjähigen Bestehens der schweizerischen Eidgenossenschaft - in Nax (Wallis) gegründet. Sie ist ein Verein im Sinne der Artikel 60 ff. des Schweizerischen Zivilgesetzbuches und umfasst Carillonneure (Glockenspieler), Campanologen (Glockenexperten) und Glockenliebhaber der Schweiz. Die GCCS ist Mitglied der Weltföderation des Glockenspiels (WCF). |
