Preheat oven to 400º. Mix dry ingredients together in large bowl. Cut in butter or margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add raisins and mix slightly. Pour in milk and mix until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface; then pat into a 3/4" thickness. Using a 2" glass or biscuit cutter dipped in flour, cut dough into circles. For triangles, divide dough in half. Pat each half into a circle 3/4" thick, then cut each into 6 wedges. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with butter or jam. Store leftovers in an airtight container. Makes 12 rounds or triangles.
