Eichenbaum (German) Oak tree
Hi, my name is Daniel Eichenbaum
and I am currently a Senior (4th year) studying music composition at Penn
State University. My current teachers include Paul
Barsom and Bruce Trinkley
for composition, Smith
Toulson for clarinet instruction, and Dennis Glocke for conducting. I recently finished an extremely energetic piece for wind ensemble entitled Fifth Avenue
Rhapsody, which will be performed by the Penn State Syphonic Wind Ensemble this Spring. My current project is a work for large orchestra. I am a member of BMI
and am being performed regularly on campus and at other colleges. Recent
performances have included The Fountain, which is currently published byWorld Wide Music and Sound Mass #1 for
large trombone choir.
In my spare time I love to fly.
I am a licensed private pilot and earned my "ticket" my senior year in
high school. I am also a playwright and love theater. A script I
wrote entitled A Work of Art was performed last October
here at Penn State. And, of course, if I have any free time left I enjoy seeing the world from the comfort of my computer keyboard.
