Some of My Favorite Sounds
During my journeys through the Internet, I've found many a MIDI file that I liked, so I took some and put them all in one place for myself and for you. In most cases I did not document from whom I took the files, and I should have. As time goes by, I will remedy this oversight.

Classical
String Quartet in G, K.387—It's Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus.
Jupiter—Another Mozart ditty
Magic Flute—More Mozart
550—Can you stand some more Mozart?
Mozfig—Yep, it's Mozart.
Mozart 551—Let's see, this would be ... Mozart!
Mozart 387—By the looks of the title, this ain't Tchaikovsky.
Canon—Johann Pachelbel.
Bouree—Bach, Johann Sebastian
Symphony 40—But whose Symphony 40?
Tito—I honestly can't remember what or who this is, but I like it.

Classic Rock
And You and I —My personal favorite. This is a classic from the '70s and '80s arena classical rock band Yes. Ah yes, pass the tie-dye t-shirts.
Your Move—"Don't surround yourself with yourself, move on back two squares...." Chess advice from Yes, followed by "I've Seen All Good People."
Close To the Edge—Some meat for Yes fans.
Heart of the Sunrise—Can't say no to Yes.
Starship Trooper—So why wasn't this in the movie?
The Battle of Evermore—A classic acoustic piece by Led Zeppelin.
Going to California—From the fourth album
Bouree—Jethro Tull showing off classical influences.
Dust in the Wind—Another classic rocker from the late '70s by Kansas.
Carry On, My Wayward Son—The song that brought Kansas to the world stage.
Little Wing—What would Jimi Hendrix be like today if he had lived? Probably bald and fat, like Crosby, Stills and Nash. But what a guitar genius, a true classic in any era. And this is a great midi of Little Wing.
Eruption—Yes, that's the solo guitar piece by Eddie Van Halen, done up for midi. It's not bad, either, IMHO. I wouldn't recommend it for background music, however.

Christian Rock
Jesus Freak—dctalk's 1996 release, the title track, and a fine melody it is.
Stained Glass—Little known in the secular world, the late Keith Green ministered through many thousands through his music and example. Check out his organization's website at Last Days Ministries.
Easter Song—Another Keith Green classic. "Joy to the World, He is Risen, hallelujah."
Rushing wind—Another great Keith Green song. His music ministers to the soul.

Classic TV Themes
Theme from Northern Exposure—This and the next couple of pieces are some of the most evocative and poignant theme songs I know. Something about them is so powerfully nostalgic, I could almost hurl.
Theme from Cheers—"You wanna go where everybody knows your name."
Theme from Peanuts—I remember when the first Peanuts specials aired in the '60s, as well as seeing the composer, Pete Barbutti, being interviewed on the Dick Cavett Show.. Pete was a beatnik. Who out there remembers those? Shoot, who remembers Dick Cavett?
Theme from M*A*S*H—For some of us oldies-but-goodies, this music can really bring a nostalgic lump in the throat. Of course, that might just be bad pancakes.
