I love your site its really cool, the humore section is great.
i'm from toronto too, although i dont take lessons at the
conservatory I'm learning the chopin etude in e major--ARTC level
Chopin Concerto, in E-flat, i dont know the level Scriabin,
Sonata #2 Sonata Pathetique, which i think is Gr.10 I love chopin

Started taking lessons a little less than 2 years ago. Have about
10 little pieces under my belt including Knight Rupert (Schumann),

I loved the site!! I also thought that I was the only person in
the world who knew what a 64th note is called!! I've been taking
lessons since I was five (10 years), I'm homeschooled and I'm
going to start giving piano lessons to 3 children this winter.
Piano is my life; I breathe, think and dream it. Thank you for a
site so dedicated to the most beautiful instr ment in the world.
Also: another tip for practicing scales: try playing in staccato,
legato, and strange rythms; such as dotted 8th followed by a 16th,
or 16th followed by a dotted 8th. Not only do they give scales
and arpeggios a fun twist, it's a challenge for younger s udents!

almost 2 years and I am already 15(late starter), and am already

i got this website from Jane Wang. it's really hallarious. oh ya--it
may seem kinda funny, but ur practice tips are exactly like my
teacher's--weird. we might have the same one. although my website
has nothing to do with piano, i am very fond of it. i am gonna
have the grade 8 examination on aug. 9th, yikes! have to practice
3-4hr a day, darn it! well, what really annoyings me is the
scales, chords and apeggios. i mean--u can sav my life if u tell
me how to make them interesting to practice. i get soooo bored
and soooo tired with them. here are the pieces i am playing for
the exam (if u are curious, u know): Aria, by Zipolli (sweet)
Sonatina in B flat majoy, by Reinecke (tough) Prelude in D major,
by Chopin (good piece to listen to) Mysterious Summer's Night, by
Larysa (boring, but have to play)

Of course I visited your website, and I found it quite attractive.
I wish I could have a site as rich as yours... A small remark
though: as you speak in your History section about Chopin, you
mention his relationship with French writer George Sand. As I am
a keen reader of French literature, I was amazed to find out that
her real name was Aurore Dudevant, as I knew h r name was Aurore
Dupin. Anyway, I looked it all up in a dictionary and it turned
out that her name was indeed Aurore Dupin, but also that she was
made baroness Dudevant...
