THE CAR

My hubby went to work today at his parents pharmacy, so I got swindled into going with my par-of-ants to go looking for cars. Since my mum's accident, she has been inundated with advice on which cars to or not to buy. Knowing nothing about 'modern' cars, my parents were very confused. So I came along to help them out.

NOW I HAVE A HEADACHE WITH A CAPITAL 'H'!

We finally found a car near the beach (I live near the mountains). It's a fully imported Toyota Camry Sedan with ALL the mod cons including sun roof. It's done 128,000kms which isn't that bad for a 1989 model. It's white, automatic, V6 Twin Cam, EFI. Quite a powerful car. How much do you think this car is worth?

The worst thing about looking for a car with people, is having to be in the back seat as they test drive the cars. I shut my eyes, said a prayer and held on for dear life! What was worse then one parent driving? When the other parent wants to have a test drive too!!! Knowing that my mum just had an accident, I was very justified in trimming my nails back down to the nail beds, whilst I peeked through one eye! Well finally it's all over. Now I'm elated just by standing on concrete again. The deposit is paid and everyone is happy.

Now my father drives the rent a car (Mazda Capella) all the way back to my house (55kms) to drop me off. Now they are excited that they bought a car, so of course their concentration is NIL! He veered lanes, forgot to signal, overtook with little room spare, etc... If my fingers were replacable, I probably would have chewed them off too!

Finally, I got home to my place in one piece. Kissed my cats (and was told off by my parents for being of little faith) and changed my clothes, made coffee for all of us, and served my Pear Crumble cake. Then there was PEACE. Mouths full, bellies warm...QUIET...Then they left. So here I am sitting at my computer, venting out my frustration on you!

Last night I went to Taco Bills for dinner. I enjoy Mexican food, but my husband doesn't (I heard about it all the way back from our friends home). After dinner we went back to my friends home and watched MALL RATS. It's from the same person who created 'Clerks' and 'Chasing Amy'. It was a great movie, but Shannon Dougherty looked out of place in the movie. I thought it was very funny.

I can't decide what I want for dinner. It's 5:45pm and I'm so tired I can't think straight. Can someone please email me some quick and easy meal recipies?

My husband is changing toilet paper on me again. I'm afraid that this one is even more budget then the last. I've promised to take care on how much I use, but he is still unhappy. What more can I do?

I'm hungry, so I'm going to go and see what I can dish up for dinner. Bye till next time... Soosh
