Angels At My Table

You know how you have those really tough weeks, when you try to remember things which happen and put them in some logical sequence, but all you can remember is a huge blurr of thoughts, feelings and happenings? Well that was my week! I can barely remember what I did. There were some trivial errands, shopping and gym, bills etc..What I do remember is a few things which really meant alot to me..so I clung onto those thoughts to dear life, to see me through the week's hard days.

Well today I visited my brother, sis-in-law and nephew, it was so good to see them. We all cuddled up on their waterbed..all four of us..singing my nephew 'Twinkle Twinkle', my sis-in-law laughing at my rendition of the song (well it's been ages since I had to remember the words). I was able to have a good heart-to-heart with them, it was valuable time for all of us. It has been so long since we have been able to speak. Last time was 5 months ago, prior to my nephews birth.

Well last sunday morning, I had friends over for brunch. After I stuffed them silly with food (heaps of leftovers), we all sat on my bed and watched the highlights of our wedding video (one of my friends was overseas and the other was at a family wedding therefore they missed our wedding). Then we took photo's and organized that we should go out for dinner with some of our old classmates (old colegians) for the following sunday (tonight). It's good to catch up with friends I haven't seen since before my wedding. One of my friends is engaged, one is divorced, one is single and I am the married one..(the single and divorced one's are twins). So we all shed different views on the various topics we discussed. We have all matured in leaps and bounds, but still remain essentially the same.

I have been listening to alot of music this week. My favourite picks

  • Jewel - 'These foolish games'
  • B.Streisand + Celine Dion - 'Tell him'
  • Elton John -'Something in the way you look tonight'
  • Back Street Boys (their latest)
  • Mr President -'Coco Jumbo' (great for dancersize)
  • some backtracks from the 80's

Thursday night, Jay,her hubby Baz and babe came over for dinner..made pasta (sauce recipe to follow soon), and they came over for Friday night dinner aswell. We always have a nice time with them..Friday night they came over for a more formal dinner. Baz is a trained pilot, so its really interesting to hear some of his experiences. He and hubby are building a model aeroplane together, so Jay and I have time to spend together. Guitar practice going well.

Well after my cat's calling (in heat) for the last week, we've decided to put 'Squirrel' and 'Amy' on the pill, hopefully this will stop them from going into oestrus, hence quiet nights for us, no cats jumping at the door or screaming their heads off. It could make them sterile, but still its the less invasive way of preventing them from going on heat, rather then spaying them. So there will be no more kittens for a while. We have sold 3 from this litter, 1 more kitten to sell. I miss them already, but at least they are going to good homes and bringing pleasure to some other family.

Watched video last night, 'Daylight' with S.Stalone. I really enjoyed the movie. It showed such humanistic side of people, such as hope, fear, denile, shock, bravery, courage, arrogance, camraderie etc.. Not to far fetched on the believability scale either. Then watched Beavis and Butthead episode. My favourite episode 'Vaya Con Cornholio', it was hysterical. Beavis is my favourite, although they say that Butthead is the intelligent one (?).

Okay, I'm going to end up, but just before I do, I promised my friend I would finish my thoughts on 'Friendship', so for you, I will do so shortly, when I have time to collect those thoughts, I will dedicate an entire enty to this topic, because 'Friendships' mean so much to me, as they do to you :).

Later Dudes!
