YOUR STORY BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES AND A PAIN IN MY HEART. MY CHILDHOOD WAS NOT THE BEST BUT IT DOES NOT COMPARE TO YOURS. I WAS RAISED BY MY DAD AND A STEPMOTHER AND LATER BY MY MOTHER AND STEPDAD. I STILL HAVE BOTH MY PARENTS AND ARE IN THERE 70'S. THERE WAS A PERIOD OF 2 YEARS THAT MY 2 BROTHERS AND YOUNGER SISTER WERE LEFT ALONE FOR DAYS AT A TIME AND FOR GOD'S GRACE WE MADE IT. SOME OF THE LADY'S IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD WANTED TO CALL THE STATE WELFARE TO PUT US IN FOSTER HOMES. ONE LADY THAT WAS IN HE GROUP,STOOD UP AND SAID NO,THOSE CHILDREN AT LEAST HAVE ONE ANOTHER, THEY WILL NOT BE SEPARETED IF I HAVE TO FEED THEM MYSELF. SHE WORKED AND DID HELP WITH FOOD AT TIMES AND WE WERE KEPT TOGETHER. WE ARE ALL STILL CLOSE AND LIVE WITHIN 20 MILES OF ONE NOTHER. I HAVE CLOSED THAT PART OF MY LIFE AND TRY TO DO THE BEST FOR THE 3 CHILDREN I HAVE. TWO ARE MARRIED AND I HAVE 4 GRANDCHILDREN (ALL BOYS) I HAVE A DAUGHTER STILL AT HOME AND SHE WILL BE 16, SEPT.2. I WENT THROUGH A DIVORCE WITH MY FIRST 2 AND I H D TO WORK, BUT I NEVER PUT MY NEEDS AHEAD OF THEM. BECAUSE OF MY CHILDHOOD,I SAID I WOULD BE A GOOD MOTHER BEFORE EVERYTHING ELSE AND I HAVE STUCK TO IT. MY DAUGHTER THAT LIVES AT HOME IS BY A SECOND MARRIAGE AND IS A JOY TO BEHOLD. ALL MY LIFE I HAVE TRY D TO HELP OTHERS, AND DURING A HARD TIME WITH MY SECOND HUSBAND ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO, MY DAD CAME TO SEE ME TO HELP ME THROUGH MY BAD TIMES. I ASK HIM WHY I HAD,HAD SO MUCH HEARTACHE IN MY LIFE, THAT I HAD TRYED TO BE A GOOD PERSON AND DO THE THINGS FOR OTHE S. BE LIKE THE LORD WOULD HAVE ME BE WHY WERE BAD THINGS STILL HAPPENING TO ME? HIS ANSWER WAS SHORT AND TO THE POINT. "LINDA LOOK AT THE THINGS THAT JESUS WENT THROUGH DURING HIS SHORT LIFE,NOTHING BUT GOOD AND HELPING OTHERS AND LOOK HOW HE WAS TREATED ND WHAT DID WE DO FOR HIS GOODNESS-WE CURSED HIM AND HUNG HIM FROM A CROSS" AFTER THAT ANSWER I FELT ASHAMED, MY TROUBLES WERE NEVER AS BAD AS HIS. YOU ON THE OTHER HAND LIVED A NIGHTMARE THAT MOST PEOPLE COULD NOT HAVE HANDLED. THE LORD PUT YOU HERE FOR PURPOSE AND HE MADE YOU STRONGER THAN MOST TO HAVE SURVIED FROM ALL THE THINGS YOU HAVE. I HOPE ONE DAY YOU CAN FIND THE PEACE YOU LONG DESERVE. IT MAY NOT BE IN THIS LIFE,BUT AT THE FEET OF CHRIST. Hi Clara! What you endured as a child is nothing less than a disgusting reflection of Hell. It breaks my heart that adults who would go to the bother of adopting a child, purposely adding you to their family, would be so heartless and evil. I am sure y ur experiences have left you with a sensitivity and sincere empathy that not everyone can possess. However, I urge you to look at your present and future to find peace and happiness, rather than seeking so hard to find your biological past. As horrible s this may sound, your biological family may not be the swell folks you imagine them to be, and you may be deeply disappointed with what you find, should you locate them. My goodness you've been through a lot! I am glad you don't use your anger as a sword with which to harm others. You must be a very strong lady. I also think it cool that you have a website.
