
Peppermint
Candy-Ice Cream Pie
1 1/4 cup chocolate wafer crumb
1/3 cup butter melted
1 pint peppermint ice cream
1(8-ounce) frozen whipped
...topping, partially thawed
Frozen whipped topping, thawed
3 tablespoons finely crused
...peppermint candy
Combine chocolate wafer crumbs
and butter, stirring well. Press
mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie-
plate. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
Combine softened ice cream and
partially thawed whipped topping
spoon mixure into prepared
crust. Freeze until firm. If desired
top each serving with a dollar of
whipped topping, and sprinkle
with crushed pepperment candy.

Christmas Confetti Dip
2/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 (2 oz.) jar diced pimiento, drain
2 tablespoons finely chopped
...fresh chives
1 tablespoon chopped onion
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
Combine all ingredients; cover
and chill up to 2 days. Serve with
assorted fresh vegetables.

Holiday Eggnog
2 cups sugar
4 cups half-and-half
1 1/4 cups milk
6 egg yolks, lightly beaten
1 1/4 cups bourbon (optional)
2 cups whipping cream, whipped
Freshly grated nutmeg (optional)
Combine first 4 ingredients in a
saucepan; cook over medium
heat, stirring constantly, until
mixture reaches 160. Stir in 3/4
cup bourbon. Cool; cover and
chill. Combine chilled mixture
and remaining 1/2 cup bourbon
in a punch bowl. Gently stir in
whipped cream; sprinkle with
nutmeg, if desired. Serve
immediately.

Hot Fruit Bake
1 (20 oz.) can sliced pineapple
1 (17 oz.) can apricot halves
1 (16 oz.) peach halves
1 (16 oz.) can pear halves
1 (14 oz.) jar spiced apple rings
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Drain first 5 ingredients,
reserving juices for another use.
Combine fruit in a 2-quart
casserole; set aside.
Melt butter in a small saucepan
over medium heat. Combine
sugar and cornstarch; add to
butter, stirring constantly. Cook
stirring constantly, until mixture
is slightly thickened; pour over
fruit mixture. Bake at 350 for 35
to 40 minutes or until bubbly.

Santa's Hats
1/2 gallon cherry-vanilla ice
.....cream
1 (1-liter) bottle ginger ale
1 (8.75 oz.) can refrigerated
...instant whipped cream
Red decorator sugar crystals
8 maraschino cherries w/stems
Divide ice cream evenly among
8 glasses; pour 1/2 cup ginger
ale over each. Top each with
whipped cream, sugar crystals,
and a cherry.

Ginger Crinkles
1 (18.25) package spice cake mix
1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup molasses
Sugar
Combine cake mix and ginger in
a large bowl; stir well. Combine
eggs, oil, and molasses, add to
dry ingredients, stirring until
blended. Shape into balls; chill
chill at least 8 hours. Divide
Dough in half. Shape dough into
1-inch balls, roll each ball in
sugar. Place 2 inches apart on
lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 for 14 minutes. Cool
2 minutes on cookie sheets.
