Dear Littleton......Across the world we are praying for you.....May you feel our strength at this time. God Bless
How to forgive what life can conceive
To you who will soon be gone not forgotten.
Fear not death,nor be unforgiving.
Stand proudly with tears of joy.
Grasp for heaven, let loved ones go.
Leave a better earth, as is meant to be.
Shed no tear for tomorrow,
You come to a better home.
Grieve not of lost gifts.
The shell of death draws near.
Fear not the end, as it begins anew,
forgive what life can conceive,
free your soul.
I beckon you home.

Anger in the Soul
The anger that lies within the soul
rules our lives and takes control.
If we let anger have it's way
it will bring sorrow and decay.
Love so often is set aside
it is for gotten and left to die.
Love changes ways of life
does away with trouble and strife.
If you got anger in your soul
don't let it take control.
Be on the guard and handle with care
love is the answer it will always be there.
Love one another from the start keep god on your mind and love in your heart By John Eversman March 8, 1999 Dear Friends: As my children and I paid our respects at the Columbine Memorial today, this was placed in my heart. I would like to share it with you. We are Colorado, and today we buried our children. Yesterday, we spoke of proms, graduation, track meets, lockers, gym class, crushes, CDs, and asked "What's for lunch?" Today, we spoke of gunshots, bullets, swat teams, shrapnel, funerals, heaven, and asked "What have we learned?" Through the tears, the hugs, the flowers, and the cameras, we have reached out to one another from every city, every neighborhood, and every home. We have learned to hug more, to listen more, to love more, to judge less. We have learned to ask our children who their friends are, what they enjoy doing, what they are thinking, and who their heroes are. We have learned to reach out with love to our children, our grandchildren, our neighbor's children, and the children in families we do not know. We have learned there are millions of loving voices to every hateful one. We have learned to help each other through the worst of times as well as the best. We have learned to teach our children how to handle their anger and how to ask for help. We have learned to ask why a child can own a weapon to kill three years before having his first glass of beer. We have learned that violence disguises itself as gossip, as war games, as arguments, as cheating, as criticizing, as broken promises, and as passing up the opportunity to help another. We have learned to never go to bed angry and to never part without a hug. We have learned that what is real is felt in the heart, and that love is the only thing that lasts forever. If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise, I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day. If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute or two to stop and say "I love you," instead of assuming, you would KNOW I do. If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away. For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything right. There will always be another day to say our "I love you's", And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do's?" But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget, Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight.. So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day, That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss and you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish. So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear, Tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear, Take time to say "I'm sorry," "please forgive me," "thank you" or "it's okay". And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today. The first is LISTEN to them. Just be still and listen. You don't have to even speak. Just be still and listen. Listen to their wants and their desires and needs. Listen to their hearts. Everyone communicates. Just be still and listen. The second is TOUCH them. All creatures on earth respond to the sense of touch. There is no greater sense. There is no greater feeling then to be touched by another person. That was my senior class, so I can relate to what the students and people of Littleton are feeling. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that, even though, it is no one's fault except the ones that committed this god awful act, the people of Pearl, MS, especially the ones who attended the High School on that dreadful day, feel some what responsible for the acts that have followed October 1, 1997. Had the media not portrayed everything that happened at our school, I feel a lot of pain might not have been caused. I just wanted to take the time out, to send my love and my hopes that everyone will one day be able to trust in others again. I did not graduate with the class of '98, one reason was the shooting. I did not, and still do not feel safe inside the doors of a school. Everyone will one day find some sort of peace...but it does take a very long, long, long time. Please just take a moment to share with whoever you can, the words that I have sent you. They might not seem like much, but I've been there. And whether anyone thinks so right now, life does go on and it does get a little easier with every day. And that Pearl, MS feels a great debt of sorrow, knowing that we were the home of the first hideous act. A Light shining for just a moment....
Spreading a glow to so few...
Is this horror what it takes-
to make room for the new?
"Is not fair!" screams the soul
as the heart weeps every day.
Lights snuffed out far too soon
And who shall it be to pay?
We must remember these special Lights...
their potential that glowed within;
and take action to correct
where this all begins.
Respect for life and thought
of ourselves and of others.
Awareness, kindness and understanding

Keep the Light alive

Letter From Heaven
To my dearest family, some things I’d like to say.
But first of all, to let you know, that I Arrived okay.
I’m writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there’s no more tears of sadness; Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I’m out of sight.
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through.
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, “I welcome you.
It’s good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they’ll be here later on.
I need you here badly, you’re part of my plan.
There’s so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.”
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night the day’s chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you...in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you, you wouldn’t understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o’er.
I’m closer to you now, then I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I’d like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who’s in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night...”My day was not in vain”
And now I am contented...that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you’re walking down the street and you’ve got me on your mind;
I’m walking in your footprints only half a step behind.
And when it’s time for you to go...from that body to be free.
remember you’re not going...you’re coming here to me.

I lived a life, had hopes and dreams
I died at the hands of hatreds' schemes
I'll never again see you in this life
I've gone on now, where there is no strife
For the sake of my loved ones, with hearts so sore
Remember each of us and what we lived for
And thank God, today, for your loved ones, near
While with our families, you shed a tear
None of us knows now, why this time came,
What we do know is, that many are to blame
Not just the two, who held the bomb and gun,
We all decide how laws and our Country will run.
Many share the fires of violence, cruelty and hate
Bred in the hearts like those who caused our fate
Look around you right now, perhaps even you,
Could make a difference even in just a few
Interceed, if you will, before the time ends
For innocents like me and my family and friends
Don't just say "It's a shame" and do nothing to change
Take a good look at youth alienated and strange,
And see if there's somewhere, they could find healing
Before once again, our country aches with this feeling

"Our Grief"
When our hearts are troubled through loss
And our Spirits grieve deeply from within
We need to remember the "sting of death" had no victory
For our Savior who died for our sin
Neither will it be for the ones that we love
Now they are in the hands of GOD, protected from up above
Knowing that everything has it's own reason
even when we don't understand
Draw comfort, refuge and strength from GOD, for he is holding our hand
Through heaven's door our loved ones have marched
their time on earth no more
But in our hearts the live forever
these precious souls that we adore
They have gone before us, their place prepared
Waiting for us to join them, In the love we shared
Forget not the promise made us, that all who believe will be there
Through death, love lives forever in memory with us who care

May the following verses from the word of God be of comfort for those in need.
Psalms 23 1 Corinthians 15:50/57 Ecclesiastes 3: 2/8 Psalms 46:1
May the poem above touch you also.
When the Last Child Cries...
When the last child cries,
out of hunger, because their mother cannot put food in their mouths
because they are poor and no one wants to acknowledge them or,
because they remind others of the failure of their perfect
world...
....will you look upon them and hear their voice?
out of fear, because they do not want their father to visit their
room tonight, not again, (please dear god, why doesn't anyone help
me?), because no one out in the world wants to get involved or
interfere...
....will you take the stand?
out in rage, and decides that shooting their best friend is the
only way to get rid of this feeling, the only way to feel better,
because no one really cares about their problems nobody wants to talk
to them...
....will you think twice about their reasons?
out in hurt, and pain for loneliness, because nobody understands them,
because nobody wants to see what they are or why they feel the way
they do, because they get beat and killed for being "different", for
loving the "WRONG" person...
....will you cry for the loss of them?
out in misery, because they do not understand why all the other
kids in school call them "Nigger", "Chink", "Kyke", "Wop"...and
others that they do not even know how to pronounce...
....will you be the one to explain why they are hated?
out in anguish, as their mother and father are dragged into the
street and shot because they do not believe the same as everyone
else, because they do not serve "GOD" in the "RIGHT" way...
....will you explain to them why their parents had to die?
because no one will care for them, love them, want them, because
everyone hates their neighbors and all of the love has gone out of
the world...
....Will ANYONE be left to hear them?

"MISION SUICIDA"
Letra y musica:JoseCubano.
Con una misión suicida,
dos jóvenes penetraron
a una escuela de niños
donde estaban estudiando.
Cuántos, perdieron sus vidas,
y con ella las esperanzas,
que sólo con el estudio,
nuestra juventud,alcanza.
Al hablar el presidente,
solo se vuelve a escuchar,
tendremos que encarar
de las escuelas,la violencia.
Hoy hogares enlutados,
yo diría,el mundo entero,
todos,estamos sufriendo,
que por tanto libertinage,
no exista el coraje,
dentro de los tribunales,
que pongan,puntos finales,
a crimenes cometidos,
por asesinos y bandidos
que rondan por nuestras calles.
Aún tengo las esperanzas,
de que se tomen medidas,
para que padres y niños,
no sufran más
estas heridas,
donde se están perdiendo
de los jóvenes,sus vidas.
Les toca,a las autoridades
y también al Tribunal,
poner ellos,manos fuertes
cuando tengan que juzgar,
a quienes hoy por placer,
no sólo en las escuelas
quieren a todos matar.
Son los negros,y latinos,
donde tienen ellos sus ojos,
y condenados a muerte,
todos sentenciados estamos,
mientras se dejen de lado,
a tantos hoy,asesinos.

Dear God-
Though we can not see them or hear them we know they are there,
and we know that you will take good care of all those who have been hurt or killed.
Please God uncry the tears that so many shead and unbreak the hearts that have been broken
And please be with those who need you most in Littleton Colo.

"If Tomorrow Never Comes"
author unknown, second edition
If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep,
If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute or two to stop and say
"I love you," instead of assuming, you would KNOW I do.
If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day,
well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away.
For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance to make everything right.
There will always be another day to say our "I love you's",
And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do's?"
But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget,
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight..
So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day,
That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their
one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear,
Take time to say "I'm sorry," "please forgive me," "thank you" or "it's okay".
And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.
I came to school today
because my mother told me to
because it's what I always do
They always say that school is good
it will help you to grow wise and old
an education is more than gold
Today I stepped on campus
worried about tests I'd have to pass
never thinking it could be my last
I try to work real hard
and make everybody proud
without making a scene and being loud
I was only in the library
when I heard that frightening sound
when my heart began to pound
They shot once
and then again
They shot a third
and hit my friend
The horror of this horrible day
will never be undone
shows the power of a human with a gun
I guess you could call me lucky
to live through this horrible tragedy
for tomorrow there's no funeral for me
Mabe it's just another lesson
to teach us to pick up and move on
Maybe it's just another lesson
to others to cherish beloved ones
Maybe it's just another way
of God helping us stay strong
for us to band together and form a bond
I'll never look at life the same
or school as teachers and books
now I'll smile when I'm given dirty looks
I've cried all night and all day
for the many who have passed away
even for those two who felt out of place
Life goes by quickly
just as each tear
parts of it fear
But unlike my poem
each word comes, goes, then lies
people come, go and die
Some people will click together
while others struggle to fit in
and others lives will end
Let this be a lesson
something that I learned from "two fools"
set it as one of life's rules

"The lords special Bouquet"
The angel was arranging the Lord's upper room, in the window of heaven where the pretty flowers bloom. The angel said, "Lord, Better take heed, In this vacant spot, another flower we need". The Lord looked over and said right away, go down to earth and get a flower for my bouquet. The angel was off in a whisk of a sigh, looking for buds that gleamed and shined. For some reason they were not of the right kind. When suddenly stood flower so ruby and fair, "This is one," said the angel, "The lord wants up there." So he snapped it quickly, this flower to gain, for he diddent want it to feel any pain. Then away they went back to the Master's land, the angel leading the the flower they walked hand in hand. "Here is your flower, Lord", the angel was sighing,"But I left the other flowers down there crying. For they were heart-broken so at this hour, I hope you know Lord, they all loved this flower." Then the Lord turned around, he said, "I have all power. I'll send new strength to those dear broken flowers. My spirit shall call them, as they honor me, then come some glad morning, blosoms they'll see. And, as time goes on, their sorrows will grow dimmer, deep wounds will heal and their flower they'll remember. They know The Lord giveth and The Lord taketh away, and The Lord needeth this flower for his special Bouquet

There are 2 things that anyone on earth can do to
communicate with another person.
The first is LISTEN to them.
Just be still and listen.
You don't have to even speak.
Listen to their wants and their desires and needs.
Listen to their hearts.
Everyone communicates.
The second is TOUCH them.
All creatures on earth respond to the sense of touch.
There is no greater sense.
There is no greater feeling then to be touched by another person.
When you are listening to a person, just a simple
touch of their hand, their shoulder, can communicate much more than any words you could say.
Listen and touch.
The greatest forms of communication.
Try it.
It could change someone's life.
It could even change the world.

This is not a poem....but this girl's words are so worth printing:
Dear Tina,
My name is Marli..and I was a student of Pearl High School, the home of the very first shooting.
Please, send my Love to All, And tell ANYONE who would Like to talk, feel FREE to EMAIL me ANYTIME. Once, again, my name is Marli and I am 19....Former Pearl High School Student.
Love,
Marli

Stand For Children Day
Thanks Susan909 for this link!
I remember several years ago
our greatest worry was that
our children 'found sex'.
Yes, they found that thing we
"responsible adults" do..............
only they didn't understand
'responsibility'
so they, as we said, were
"Babies having babies".
We thought this world was becoming
an unfit place because
our children were having sex.
TODAY....
our children have 'found'
something else we 'responsible'
adults have...
they 'found' our guns.
Only they don't understand
so, they are killing each other.
They are making school a scary place
to be.
They have us
'responsible' adults
now wondering...
"Where did the 'innocence of youth'
go?

Please Lord. don't allow us to
ever for get the tragedy here.
If we forget they will have died in vain.

God have mercy on the children
who forgot that You walk always with them.

Tears
A poem, by David Pawson
submitted by: TagQuean
Tears of joy and tears of grief
Tears of sadness and relief
Tears for every high and low
Tears that let our feelings show
Private tears and tears we share
Tears that let us know we care
Tears shed with friends in sympathy
The tears we shed in symphony
Tears at weddings births and wakes
Whatever kind of tears it takes
Happy tears and tears of pain
And sometimes tears we can't explain
To ease our hearts God gave us tears
To ease our minds to ease our fears
Tears of loss and tears of hope
God gave us tears to help us cope
Beware the man who will not cry
For he his feelings would deny
The tears we cry show our devotion
So cry your tears to fill an ocean.

Song..........
ONE SWEET DAY
Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men
(Lyrics: M. Carey - M. McCary - N. Morris - W. Morris - S. Stockman / Music: M. Carey, W. Afanasieff)
Sorry I never told you
All I wanted to say
Now it's too late to hold you
'Cause you've flown away
So far away
Never had I imagined
Living without your smile
Feeling and knowing you hear me
It keeps me alive
Alive
Chorus
And I know you're shining down on me from Heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day
Darling I never showed you
Assumed you'd always be there
Took your presence for granted
But I always cared
And I miss the love we shared
Although the sun will never shine the same
I'll always look to a brighter day
Lord I know when I lay me down to sleep
You will always listen as I pray
Chorus (x2)
