Happy Valentines My Dear Friends! One of my favorite Holidays, it reminds us to share love. Pass the Love in your heart. Share it not only with the love of your life, but also with those who touch your life. ~Love~ Love freely, love deeply, love purely. Love yourself the way you've always wanted to be loved, and love others the same way. Love well, love often. Find it in your heart to love those who have never shown you love --they need it most of all. Give so much love that you're certain to get some back. Love all that the earth has to offer-- people, birds, stones, insects, trees, mice and oceans. Love something--anything--with a passion! Love something larger than yourself. Call it God, Call it Nature, Call it Divine, Call it the Source Call it Love. This next story gave me goose bumps and made me cry! it is so beautiful. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Roses for Rose the incredible author of this wonderful poem is:PoppyK1@aol.com Red roses were her favorites, her name was also Rose. And every year her husband sent them, tied with pretty bows. The year he died, the roses were delivered to her door. The card said, "Be my Valentine," like all the years before. Each year he sent her roses, and the note would always say, "I love you even more this year than last year on this day. My love for you will always grow, with every passing year." She knew this was the last time that the roses would appear. She thought, "He ordered roses in advance before this day." Her loving husband did not know, that he would pass away. He always liked to do things early, way before the time. Then, if he got too busy, everything would work out fine. She trimmed the stems, and placed them in a very special vase. Then sat the vase beside the portrait of his smiling face. She would sit for hours in her husband's favorite chair While staring at his picture, and the roses sitting there. A year went by, and it was hard to live without her mate With the loneliness and solitude that had become her fate. Then, the very hour, as on Valentines before, The doorbell rang, and there were roses, sitting by her door. She brought the roses in, and then just looked at them in shock. Then went to get the telephone, to call the florist shop. The owner answered, and she asked him if he would explain, Why did someone do this to her, causing her such pain? He said, "I know your husband passed away, more than a year ago. I also knew you'd call today, I knew you'd want to know. The flowers you received today were paid for in advance. Your husband always planned ahead, he left nothing to chance." "There is a standing order that I have on file down here, And he has paid well in advance, you'll get them every year. There also is another thing that I think you should know, He wrote a special little card... he did this years ago." "Then, should ever I find out that he's no longer here, That's the card that should be sent to you the following year." She thanked him and hung up the phone, her tears now flowing hard. Her fingers shook as she slowly reached to get the card. Inside the card, she saw that he had written her a note. Staring at it in silence, she read the words he wrote... "Hello my love, I know it's been a year since I've been gone, I hope it hasn't been too hard for you to overcome." "I know it must be lonely, and the pain is very real. For if it was the other way, I know how I would feel. The love we shared made everything so beautiful in life. I loved you more than words can say, you were the perfect wife." "You were my friend and lover, you fulfilled my every need. I know it's only been a year, but please try not to grieve. I want you to be happy, even when you shed your tears. That is why the roses will be sent to you for years." "When you get these roses, think of all the happiness That we had together, and how both of us were blessed. I have always loved you and I know I always will. But, my love, you must go on, you have some living still." "Please try to find happiness, while living out your days. I know it is not easy, but I hope you find some ways. The roses will come every year, and they will only stop, When there is no answer when the florist stops to knock." "He will come five times that day, in case you have gone out. But after his last visit, he will know without a doubt, To take the roses to the place, where I've instructed him, And place the roses where we are, together once again." submitted by Kal97 Sweetheart Tips Everyday Habits Talk about your sweetheart with kind words (especially in front of others) Call your honey affectionate names (not my old...) Most Valentine gifts are purchased by women Over 1 billion Valentine cards are delivered in the U.S. All that is worth cherishing begins in the heart, not the head. ~~Suzanne Chapin Valentines Day Breakfast in Bed Ideas: These are sure winners! Are you ready to server breakfast-in-bed to your partner? here are few tips in making a simple breakfast look like you really put out an effort. Purchase a soft rubber ice cube tray that produce heart shaped ice cubes. This tray is available at your local kitchenware stores. If you use distilled water to make the ice cubes you will get crystal clear ice cubes. Add a drop of red Easter egg dye and you have a pretty addition, too. Make them up in advance and sore them in a baggie until needed. The red heart ice cubes in a glass of fresh orange juice is a nice touch. Not only can you make heart shaped ice cubes, this tray is also ideal for making two other items that will go over well with your partner. Simply take a stick of butter and let it soften on the kitchen counter for about half an hour. Then scoop out a spoonful and press the butter into the mold, use your thumb if you need to. Make sure to really press the butter down so that you get out any air bubbles. Put the mold in the refrigerator until the butter is hardened, pop the molded butter out and store in a baggie until ready to use. The third thing you can do with the tray is to make heart shaped chocolates. Buy a small bar of good chocolate, even Hershey bars will work, in a pinch. If you don’t know how to use a double boiler you can put the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and melt the chocolate. Chocolate is delicate so make sure not to boil it. Heat the chocolate in 30 second intervals, stirring with a wooden or rubber utensil between microwave sessions. When the chocolate is soft enough to drip off a spoon you are ready to mold the chocolate. Carefully drip the chocolate into the mold. Freeze it, and un-mold when solid, then store in a baggie. The next trick is to go get a heart shaped cookie cutter. Make toast as usual and cut them into heart shaped pieces. Also, you can buy a heart shaped egg ring. These are used to make heart shaped eggs. They work whether you are making a sunny-side-up egg or a small omelet. Again, both items should be available at a kitchenware store. When you have assembled everything for them they will have a breakfast of heart shaped eggs, heart shaped toast, heart shaped butter and a piece of heart shaped chocolate. This sounds like a lot of work but it really should only take five minutes per item with the ice cubes, butter and chocolate being done ahead of time. Of course, you could go way over board and buy a heart shaped plate and add a heart shaped bud vase with a red rose to really make the surprise perfect for your partner. And for an even xtra special touch, make sure you add a personal note too the breakfast try. My Favorite LOVE Quotes.................. "There is no better exercise for the heart than reaching down and lifting someone up. " "Words from the heart speak to the heart." ~~The Talmud "The essential saddness is to go through life without loving. "Happiness is finding love through giving love rather than through receiving it." "So, fall asleep love, loved by me....for I know love, I am loved by thee." Robert Browning "A part of you has grown in me, and, so you see, it's you and me, forever, and never apart; maybe in distance but never in heart." "Love is like a rosebud, it can blossom full, or it can die softly." "We cannot really love anybody with whom we never laugh." "As I gaze upon your beauty, I think to myself, never have I seen an angel fly so low..." "The heart already knows what the mind can only dream of. Trust your heart." "Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Because no matter what, loving yourself can heal anything." "Everytime I feel your heartbeat, it is a gentle reminder of the soul that lives within."
