Seance of the Soles
Gather yon and gather hands," the gypsy spake with glee
My friends did play along to join the seance with her and me
"Now cackle yet, and close yer eyes, for sooth 'tis hard to press
"Come out of chaos, spirits, here! Unfold upon the mess!"
What startled more to my closed eyes was ooze I felt below
As something slimy touched my heel and slid up to my toe
And all around, the darkness fell, it was a ghastly sight,
For when I opened up my eyes, it was as dark as night.
"Feel ye now, ye wanton guests, the gloomy grip of death.
It starts to fester at your feet, and eats you with each breath..."
...I never heard the rest she said. My friends and I did flee...
Which really was a timely move, for we never paid the fee.
