Marblehead Lighthouse

The Marblehead Lighthouse located on Marblehead peninsula on the north side of Sandusky bay is the oldest active lighthouse on the Great Lakes.

Built in 1821 the marblehead light guided mariners through the dangerous islands along the southern shore of Lake Erie.

News flash: the coast guard has announced the decomissioning of the Marblehead light. Come back for more news about the preservation of this historic landmark.
