Scouts Canada and the Salvation Army have had a
60-year bond; providing the Scouting programme to any
interested youth (not just Salvation Army members)
through the Corps (churches) in the Canada and Bermuda
Territory. Throughout many other countries there are to
be found other Salvation Army Scout Organisations, all
dedicated to the same goal of providing Scouting
opportunities within a Christian environment.
As Baden-Powell said of Scouting many years ago,
"...an organisation of this kind would fail in its
purpose unless it brought its members to a knowledge of
religion."
With not much emphasis being placed on the spiritual
side of Scouting these days, especially on the web, I
hope that I can bring to you some through this site.
Please see the 15th Peterborough
Salvation Army Scouts site for more resources.
