Are you a Yosemite Neighborhood resident? Do you have more than a couple pages uploaded for public viewing on your site? Does your site already demonstrate the foundation of your site's topic?

If so, continue reading. And, if you haven't completed the process of "moving in" but want to learn more about "Yosemite Neighborhood Spirit," continue reading. Then establish your site and follow the directions below.

View Spirit Participants Pages

This is where you will find all the pages listed from the different Yosemite Neighborhood Suburbs that have the Spirit!

Yosemite Neighborhood Spirit

This page contains the information to help you determine whether or not you're eligible to display the "Yosemite Spirit" graphic specifically designed for your Yosemite suburb.

The main focus of this "event" is for all homesteaders to show their hood spirit, which is intended to be easy, painless and fun. It's not supposed to be difficult, but, as with anything, there are some guidelines. Only those sites within the below criteria will be allowed to display the "Yosemite Spirit" graphic. And, this graphic is suburb specific, "handed out" by your assigned Community Leader (CL).

[Note: If you don't know who your CL is, click on this link, then look up your suburb to view a list of all CLs in that area. Click on your CL and contact them via the email address provided. If there's no CL noted for your block, feel free to contact the suburb Co-Liaison (Co-L) stated at the top of the list.]

Guidelines for Yosemite Spirit

So, on with the basic, simple guidelines homesteaders will be required to meet before being allowed to display your suburb "Spirit" graphic.

All sites:
1. Should contain no violations.
2. Must be thematically correct.
3. Are to place the graphic on their index page....no exceptions!
4. Can only receive the URL for this graphic by your assigned Community Leader, or Co-Liaison if you don't have an assigned Community Leader.
5. Can apply for this, but you MUST go through your assigned Community Leader.
6. Will have your URL listed on your suburb "Spirit" page once you've placed the graphic on your index page.
7. Should demonstrate some substance of content (not just a single page, yet you don't have to have 30 pages either) which clearly defines the focus of your site.
8. Should demonstrate you're "on the right track" to developing your site further.
9. Should place a link to this "Spirit" page with your suburb graphic so other fellow Yosemite Neighborhood homesteaders can review/submit their page to their assigned Community Leader.
10. Should realize that your URL can be deleted from your suburb "Spirit" page at any time if your assigned Community Leader finds your site containing violations and you don't correct them after the Community Leader contacts you.

Additional Information

This IS NEITHER a contest, NOR is it an award program, but instead a method for all deserving sites in the Yosemite Neighborhood to display their pride for their personal pages, as well as a sense of unity within our suburb and neighborhood as a whole. Remember, the idea is to have some "FUN" and have the entire neighborhood easily involved.

"So......how do I submit my site?"

There are two ways your site can be submitted:
1. Your assigned Community Leader or suburb Co-Liaison reviews your site and informs you they would like to submit your site for "Spirit" recognition. You can respond to them "sure, go ahead and submit my site." (Be sure to note the below site information when you respond.)

OR

2. You submit your own site to your assigned Community Leader (suburb Co-Liaison if you have no assigned CL at this time) for reviewal. (Be sure to note the below site information when you respond.)

Once your assigned Community Leader or Co-Liaison has determined you're eligible to display the "Spirit" graphic, they will ask you for the following information: your GeoCities username, your site's title, and your site's URL. This information will be posted on your suburb's "Spirit" page, along with fellow suburb members already selected and posted. You will also receive the URL where your suburbs graphic is displayed, along with the required HTML coding for each graphic.

One Final Thought

This is NOT an award program. As stated above, it's a graphic for homesteaders to display their Yosemite Neighborhood/Suburb pride and spirit. And, it serves as one more public link to your site.

Another way to view this program is to use it as a stepping-stone to your first Yosemite award application. We encourage you to consider the following award programs currently offered to Yosemite Neighborhood homesteaders:

The Yosemite Treasure Award
Treasure Award Winners

The Yosemite Pride Award
Yosemite Pride Award Winners

YOOSA Winners

Yosemite's Soaring Eagle Award
Soaring Eagle Award Winners

Thank you for demonstrating your "Yosemite Spirit!" Please don't hesitate to contact your assigned Community Leader, or suburb Co-Liaison, in the future for any of your homesteader needs. All are knowledgeable volunteers, ready to assist Yosemite homesteaders whenever possible.

Continued success on your site from all your volunteers in Yosemite.
