| All the photos of the American Bald Eagles on this site were taken along the Mississippi River at or near Keokuk, Iowa. This area is the winter resting ground for hundreds of eagles due to the open water below the lock & dam at Keokuk. This open water provides the eagles with an area where they can catch and feed on a diet of various species of fish. All photos on this site were taken by The Axe Man, a Keokuk resident and avid eagle photographer. We hope you enjoy this display of America's National Bird as much as we enjoyed viewing and photographing them. |
