News from Okinawa:  On January 30, 1998 Natasha received an Outstanding Effort Award from School.  The award is given for continuous academic excellence!  Tawnja and I are so very proud of her.  She hopes one day to become a Marine Biologist.....her love of the water and its inhabitants is something she always has show interest in.  God willing she will achieve her goal and help in safeguarding our Oceans.  Natasha, Mommy  Daddy and Kaila are oh so  proud of your academic achievement!!!!  Keep up the studies!

Our girls,  Natasha is the oldest of 8 and Kaila is 4.  Both girls love the great outdoors and we love sharing it with them.  Living on the island of Okinawa does have its advantages.  The Japanese people have some of the best parks in the world.  Our  favorite park thus far is Cinderella Park near the town of Ishikawa.  It has an expansive wooden fort structure that spans the entire side of a mountain at the top of the mountain is a reproduction of  Disney's Cinderella Castle.  It has tunnels, wooden bridges, slides, and every jungle gym device imaginable.  It's a great place for both the kid and the young at hearts!  Come visit us and we'll share our adventures!

Both girls are in school.  Natasha is in the 3rd Grade & Kaila is attending Pre-School.  They are very creative children.....as I type, they are making friendship bracelets for all their friends....Yes, I have one on right now!!!LOL

Other adventures of Okinawa, find us going to the beach collecting shells and also volunteering for beach clean-ups...  The girls have been through roughly 8 typhoons since arriving on the island.  The neatest one was Typhoon Kirk.....We got to experience the Eye of the Storm for about a day.......then the back side of the storm wall hit with all its force....Not to worry, the houses here are made of concrete......minor damage is all we got!!!! Thanks to God!

The Girl's thoughts of our World!

Hi! I'm Kaila....I can see you down there.  My parents call me the resident Wizard Chaser!!! (that's Lizards...just have a little problem getting my L to sound correctly)  I'm your typical four year old girl.....well, I do love to hang out on the Monkey Bars and catch God's critters.  Don't worry.....my heart is full of love and kindness.....I always free what I catch.  If  I didn't they'd miss their mommies.  Things I have caught range from Geckos, skinks, bugs of all kinds...especially Preying Mantis..... But my favorites are Wizards!!!  We can't wait to get to Groton Connecticut in July of 1998...I'm sure they'll be needing a resident bug/wizard chaser!!!! Well, I'll say.....as Dad does....Peace unto you and Yours!
