The first thing to do when planning to request a proclamation for Computer Security Day from your local city, county, or state government is to email us to determine if there is already a request in progress. If there is, you may wish to support the effort. If not, your next step is to contact an administrative employee in the official's office from which you will request the proclamation. Explain what you want to do and obtain the name, address and phone number of the person to whom you should send the request. Contact the person by phone to whom you will be submitting your request and find out the best way to submit your request. Make sure that you get the correct spelling of their name and their title. Be prepared to submit the request in writing. Keep notes from your phone conversations and a copy of your request letter for your reference. Your request could follow the form shown here: |
