the war."
Review:Director
Alan Parker (Midnight Express, Pink Flyod: The Wall, Mississippi
Burning) took many risks in a major studio film that few others
would dare to do. If your a fan of Matthew Modine (Full
Metal Jacket) or Nicolas Cage, you'll probably enjoy this film
because it contains their best work to date (although one could argue
Cage was better in Leaving
Las Vegas). The two childhood friends are reunited in a Veterans
Hospital after they've experienced physical and psychological devastation
in Vietnam. Modine's scars are psychological and Cage is more physically
damaged. -Review by Aaron Caldwell
