| Edward: If you're referring to vindictiveness and deceit, I'd have to agree. Ned: You can't seriously be thinking of taking her to the ball. She'll double-cross you before you get past the door. Skye: That's a lie. |
| Sonny: No matter how they dress you up, inside you're what you always were -- for sale to the highest bidder. Skye: Jax is different. Sonny: Bigger payoff, but the transaction's basically the same. Jax: Apologize to the lady. Sonny: What lady? All I see is a garden-variety tramp. Jax: Be gone, Corinthos. |
| Ned: What -- Edward: Oh, good lord. Skye: How did you do that? Jax: Easy when you have power. You say a command, and the world obeys. Skye: Any command? Jax: Try me. Skye: I want Ned to leave me alone. Ned: Ha. Skye: Better yet, I want him to do what i say and to come and go as I please. Ned: I will never take orders from you, Skye. Jax: You will now. You are Skye's chauffeur. Ned: Will you be needing the car tonight, miss? Jax: Well, go ahead. He's your servant now. Skye: Have the car waiting. Mr. Jacks and I will be leaving shortly. Ned: Yes, miss. |

| Edward: Now, for pity's sakes, Skye, this is just ridiculous. Skye: Can you do the same thing to Grandfather? Edward: No - let's don't be hasty. Jax: Wouldn't you rather do it yourself? Skye: Me? Jax: You have the power, Skye. I'm sharing it with you. Skye: You mean that? Jax: Go ahead. Give it a try. Edward: Now, Skye, I... I know that I may have been unkind to you in the past, but I am an old man with a very weak heart. Skye: You're my butler. Edward: Will you be dining at home tonight, miss? Skye: Perhaps a light meal after the ball. Edward: Oh, very good, miss. Skye: That will be all. |
| [Jax claps] Jax: Well done. Skye: I can't believe you've given me this power. Jax: Well, why shouldn't I? Skye: I've lied to you, Jax, about so many things. Jax: Don't you think I know that? I saw through you from the start. You're charming and seductive, and it's all a front. Skye: It's amazingly effective. Jax: It's a waste of time. I know who you are, Skye, and it's who I want - all of you. Your fire, your sweetness, your beauty, and your flaws. There's no chance you'll ever lose me. No chance I'll ever change my mind or walk away. I'm a sure thing, Skye. I'm yours. Skye: I'm... I'm so afraid. Jax: Yes, of course. Yes, it's terrifying to need someone.
