A poet puts on shoes,
That he or she may never wear.
Say things,
Feel things,
Whereas others may not care.
I feel the heart of the hurting
And write it as my own.
Then spread it to the hearts of others
In compassionate overtones.
I feel the heart of the joyful
And write it as my own.
Then spread it to the hearts of others
In jovial overtones.
The heart beat of God in
The mind of me, a poet.
The impact of His beat,
Only He will ever know it.
So awesome is this mind in me.
The mind of the Author of Eternity.
