Can Our Love Be Rekindled?
My soul has been naked
For so very long.
I put a distance between us.
I know I did you wrong.
In your night I was a thief
Telling lies between my teeth.
But if your morning is still the same,
Can we rekindle love’s flame???
As long as my breath is in me,
I now know...I will always love you tenderly.
I know that you need time
And I will give you the necessary space.
Only extend to me a piece of
your dear and loving grace.
I know it’s not that easy.
My frivolous ways drove you crazy.
May this poem give you a little shove,
And encourage you to rekindle our love.
