When I went out for lunch on Friday I saw her comming out of a trailer" ~ Wouter 2 Location of sighting: Savannah,GA Date of sighting: June 4, 2001 Story: "I was eating in Applebees and guess who sat down at the table next to me- Claire! I turned and asked her what her name was, it was her. She said she was visiting some family, and I got her autograph!" ~ Stephen Weathers 3 Location of sighting: Long Beach Date of sighting: March, 2 2000 Story: "I saw her Rolling a Beach ball down towards the water. I Knew it was her, because I have a massive crush on her. I wanted to walk up to her. When I finaly got up enough Courage to do so, I said hello to her, and she replied!!!! I then acted like I didn't know her and quickly left." ~ Mike Bryant 4 Location of sighting: West Monroe, Louisinana Date of sighting: 8-13-01 Story: "Well, I was in the drive through at Burger King. And I saw her,by herself goin' in. She looked like she was trying to be disguised, so I kinda hesitated.I asked her what her name was and I interdused myself to her, she seemed very polite to me. I had decided to just order inside, so I ordered before her, she insisted. But just my luck I was short 11 cents on my meal and the people working there wasn't nice enough to chip in, so I was about to cancel the order, but she said I got it, and she helped me out. And we ended up sitting together and we talked for about 15 min. And she was very interested to hear about my life, and I told her about my love for acting. And she told me how she got started and I should go for my dreams. And then we said good bye and gave a hug. Then she was gone. I'll never forget that day, not like I'm in love with her or anything like the other people. But she's a great person and I feel that's what counts the most." ~ Sydney 5 Location of sighting: a Fiona Apple concert Date of sighting: November 29, 1998 Story: "I saw her and Ben Lee at a fiona apple concert back a few years ago. I didn't even notice them, i was so into the concert, but then, almost at the end, my friend pointed her out to me and said "isn't that that girl u like?" and i said "it's probably just someone who looks like her." but then i saw Ben, and what are the chances of someone who looks like claire and someone who looks like ben being at a concert together? i waited till they were leaving to ask for her autograph. i asked her to sign a photo i had brought from Fiona to sign, but i dind't get close enough to her. so i have a picture of Fiona Apple with Claire Danes' signiture on it!" ~ Kate 6 Location of sighting: New York Date of sighting: February 2001 Story: "i was going for a walk when all of a sudden i noticed some people, it looked like they were shooting a movie, there were film crew, the works. then i noticed claire danes and ben lee walking very close to me. they were talking. then, we were almost face to face. so i said 'hi, sorry to bug you, but.. aren't you claire danes?' and she nodded slowly, so i said 'i love your work, you 're such a great actress !' and she smiled and said 'thank you !', and then some people came and told me to leave, so i did. but as i was walking away, i heard her saying something about me, like 'she was a nice girl' or something. i 'll never forget that day ! ! !" ~ Juliet 7 Location of sighting: Hollywood Walk of Fame Date of sighting: October 21, 1999 Story: "I really wish that i could see her again because i sort of just got a glimpse of her." ~ Bailey P. 8 Location of sighting: London's West End, outside a night club Date of sighting: ? Story: "i was going into the same night club as her.
