GAMMA (Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol)

Mission: To develop and implement dynamic alcohol awareness and abuse prevention programs at the campus level.

GAMMA is found all over the country as it is a national organization dedicated to the education and preventive measures of alcohol consumption, consequences of alcohol usage and training for alcohol education. It is not our mission to discourage drinking. We advocate wise decision-making when consuming alcohol and we attempt to provide alternate options for those who do not want to drink and those who wish to drink safely.

Many of you on campus might have heard these three words uttered around the social scene, "GAMMA Late Nite". So you might have some questions as to exactly what that is, and hopefully here we'll be able to answer some of them!

"GAMMA Late Nite" is open to anybody, Greek or not, in the effort to provide a social scene that doesn't include alcohol. Sponsored by GAMMA it is the most popular event that the organization runs. Complete with great music and dancing instead of alcohol served at the event there is food, and large quantities of it. It's a great time to meet new people in an alcohol free environment.

Although that isn't all that GAMMA does, Other activities include alcohol speakers, alcohol education during Alcohol Awarness Week, involvement in other non-alcoholic parties and passing out water bottles when the bars let out to help people sober up.

In addition, Alpha Chi Omega is proud to announce that for the second year in a row we have three members serving on the executive board. President Ruthie Fishman, Treasurer Erin Loomis and Late Night Coordinator Ashley Mason.
