I'm so excited to find family! I found you and Tom Gilcrest through Ancestry.com. Until the week of April 14, my genealogy work on this line had been stopped at Averilla. I really enjoyed the Alabama homepage, but as an English major attending college in Monroeville, I couldn't help but notice that you left out one of the most famous Alabama novelists of all time. Miss Nelle Harper Lee. She wrote "To Kill a Mockingbird" nd won a Pulitzer Prize for it. I think that is a huge accomplishment of an Alabama native that deserves to be recognized. Again, I really liked the homepage! PS- I highly recommend that you read "Crazy in Alabama" by Mark Childress!

I teach 9th grade college prep English and I am impress with the work your students have done. This is not only informative but the drawings were great too. I love animals of all kinds, so the post cards and the information were especially pleasing to me. There is a real skill involved in getting so much important information into short "blurbs".
