He married Dot Estell Blanton on November 20, 1901 in Kershaw, South Carolina, daughter of Stephen and Agnes Jamison Blanton. She was born September 12, 1882 in Batesburg, Lexington County, South Carolina. Francis Marion Mobley died November 18, 1917 in Barnwell, Barnwell County, South Carolina. He was buried in Kershaw Cemetery, South Carolina. After the death of her first husband, Dot Estell Blanton Mobley, married Ervin Lewis Laird, son of Cornelius and Caroline Rose Laird. Dot Estell Laird died July 25, 1966 in Bamberg County, South Carolina. She was buried with her second husband in Kearse Cemetery, Bamberg County, South Carolina.
