The Peace of Wild Things

When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of the wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief.  I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light.  For a time I will rest in the grace of the wold, and am free.

Welcome to Kantiani Chinese Cresteds!!!  My name is Beth Campbell.  Our family lives in the country in the southeast corner of South Dakota.  I've been involved with dogs for over thirteen years.  Primarily, I've enjoyed non-competitive obedience training, dogs as part of our family, and also therapy work.

In 2007, we got our first Chinese Crested, Giselle, and fell head over heels in love. This was the first time I could ever understand how anyone could pick just one breed to commit themselves to.  Now, at the beginning of 2008, we are beginning our journey into the conformation world to show Chinese Crested in AKC conformation shows.

All of our dogs are first and foremost companions.  They live inside the home with us,  sleep in our bed, and go with us on outings and vacation!  I feel that temperament and health are just as important as conformation.  Our dogs are regularly tested for any genetic eye problems to ensure we do not perpetuate this known issue within the breed (PRA).
