Greetings:

 Due to the lack of demonstrative action on the part of the Pinellas County School Superintendent and School District in regards to Mrs. Jacobs use of the word S**AW as an appropriate reference to American Indian women the American Indian Movement of Florida has filed complaints against Mrs. Jacobs, Tyrone Elementary School and the Pinellas County School District with the Florida Department of Education and the United States Department of Education Office of Civil Rights in Atlanta.

We take this time to thank those who have emailed and called the District and ask that they continue their efforts.

We DEMAND

1) The word s**aw be added to other pejorative, offensive terms already listed by the Pinellas County School District
2)Mrs. Jacobs have demonstrative disciplinary action taken against her, perferably terminated due to her arrogant ignorance.
3) The Pinellas County School District impliment a policy of using books authored by American Indians when the sole purpose of the text is to teach about American Indians.
