DEMONSTRATION IN SUPPORT OF LEONARD PELTIER AND MUMIA
ABU-JAMAL, DEMANDS
FREEDOM FOR                               U.S. POLITICAL PRISONERS

A rally and demonstration on Saturday, Feb. 5th at l:00 p.m. will be held in
front of the FBI Building in downtown Buffalo.  Demonstrators will call for
freedom for Leonard Peltier, the Native American leader imprisoned on
evidence manufactured by the FBI, and also for Mumia Abu Jamal, unjustly
framed for killing a police officer in Philadelphia. We will also focus on
bringing justice and truth to the cases of Dudley George and James Jamieson.
With the recent threats and attacks on the Oneida Nation as well as
increased activity by the Klu Klux Klan we must send a strong message that
we will fight them every step of the way.

The U.S. and Canadian governments have consistently violated the Rights and
Treaties of Native Peoples as well as the right of other oppressed peoples.

February 5 is the 24th anniversary of Peltier's imprisonment.  People of
conscience everywhere will be taking part in protests on this day.  A
message from Peltier will be presented at the rally, which will begin at l
p.m.

Protesters will call for clemency for Peltier, and will demand freedom for
political prisoners Mumia Abu-Jamal and demand justice in the case of Dudley
George and James Jamieson.  We will also expose the Governmental violation
of civil and human rights in the instances of the struggles at "Gustafsen
Lake" in British Columbia to "Big Mountain" in Arizona to the "Chiapas"
province in Mexico, "Wounded Knee" and "Ipperwash" to the attack on our
People by Gov. Pataki and NYS police and the attack on the United American
Indians of New England in the state of Massachusetts.  Are we realy living
in the land of liberty and justice?  Don't kid yourself!  The Time To Stand
Up is Now!  The Struggle goes on!

The Eagle Heart Drum Group and Singers from Toronto will be in attendance.
All other drum groups are welcome.  Feast will follow demonstration.

The FBI Bulding is located at Niagara St. and S. Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, N.Y.
Car caravan to follow demonstration.

Now is the time to stand up for something or continue to fall for everything.
