Greetings:
 The American Indian Movement of Florida calls upon supporters to attend
the hearing regarding Marty Goodrich, who was caught robbing an
Indigenous cemetary at the Cape Canaveral National Seashore. Traditional
Seminole people contacted Florida AIM with fears that Goodrich will have
the Archeological Resources Protection Act violation charges dropped in
favor of more glamorous charges , or that he will be allowed
to plea out of these charges.

Mr. Goodrich was caught red-handed with bags of human remains just
outside the Seashore in June of 1997.  Despite promises that a hearing
would be held withing 2-3 weeks after the apprehension of Goodrich, it
has taken 2 1/2 years for the hearing date to be set.
The hearing will be at 9:30 AM February 29th at the Orlando Federal Bldg
before Judge Brook on the 5th Floor.  If you can be there we would
appreciate it. Letters of support may be sent to Kendall Wherry,
Assistant US Attorney, 210 Federal Bldg,  8 North Highway Ave, Orlando,
FL 32801.
