Subject: NDP urges Gustafsen Inquiry (fwd)
fyi a recent resolution by the NDP on the 1995 Gustafsen Lake standoff.
The party is currently holding a leadership convention to choose a
new
leader and BC Premier. Ujjal Dosnajh is the current front runner and
also

camp
of Shuswap traditionalists. Over 77,000 rounds of ammunition were fired
at

the
NDP government of BC and the AG/Human Rights Minister Mr. Dosanjh

L-2000-06 Gustafson Lake

program of
misinformation with the public regarding the events at
Gustafson Lake;
and
WHEREAS it is clear that the RCMP engaged in a deliberate

campaign against the participants at Gustafson Lake; and
WHEREAS it is a matter of video and court record that
they bragged
about their ability to deceive the public with misinformation
and
smear tactics; and
WHEREAS the RCMP sought to influence the effectiveness
of the
participant’s legal counsel; and
WHEREAS this is dangerous and subversive to the interests
of the
public good in a free and democratic society;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the New Democratic Party of BC
will urge the

of this
federal law enforcement body to the Provincial Attorney
General and
