Subject: Sioux Nation Civil Rights Commission Meeting

The Sioux Nation Civil Rights Commission meeting will be held on March 11,
2000 at the Landmark Building in Downtown Eagle Butte, South Dakota
beginning at 10 am in the morning.  The agenda will consist of a morning
speakers session to give individuals some time to speak on concerns of
rights violations or the work they are doing in their communities, We will
address the tribal constitutions Bill of Rights and how we can effectively
make it work for tribal members, What can a Sioux Nation Civil Rights
Commission do?  In the afternoon it will be a working session to develop
ideals, purposes,objectives and goals for the beginning stages of a
structural organization.
Those individuals who are coming to this gathering please bring with you
your ideas and help us organize the commission.  There is much to be talk
about and we need to put a stop to violated rights.  What are your thoughts?
  Will this be an organization that will be right for tribal members who are
violated?  E-mail your thoughts if you cannot make the meeting.  thank you
