Judge orders contempt of court charges in takeover

(Pine Ridge-AP) -- Pine Ridge Indian Reservation police are so upset with
the appointment of their new boss that they won't let him in the building.

William ``Shorty'' Brewer is the former public safety director. And officers
loyal to him took control of the department last week.

They've been ordered to surrender to the new director, Everett Little White
Man, and are scheduled to appear tomorrow on contempt-of-court charges.

Stanley Star Comes Out is one of the officers involved. He says Tribal Judge
Sidney Witt acted improperly in naming Little White Man as the new director
because he's related to the judge.
