Aesop was cool and happening. Does anyone really care that he was born in ancient Greece about 620 B.C.? I doubt that you do, so I have skipped over all of that babble to simply bring his fables to you. Almost every Aesop's website that you see listed on the Web all copied and pasted their "THE LIFE and history of Aesop is involved...blah, blah, blah..." introduction from the same source anyway - if you have read one then you have read them all. Go check these webstes out for yourself and see their lack of originality and then read their pompous comments about how great their site is and how many awards they have received. Plagiarism abounds on the Internet - in fact, nothing on this website is really original either - except this introduction - LOL. What is surprising to me is that many of our modern stories with morals that we know came straight from Aesop's Fables. Remember the story of "The Tortoise and the Hare" that we heard told to us many times as a kid? That's right - it was originally an Aesop Fable. Do you also remember the Bullwinkle cartoon show? Every week Rocky the Squirrel would pull out the Aesop's Fables book to read us a story - hey, if it was good enough for Bullwinkle then Aesops Fables are good enough for me. All the fables I have uploaded so far are listed below. Aesop wrote hundreds of these fables so I will be adding many more as time goes on.
