Thank You
(Written for Tony)

Sitting here, enjoying the conversation with a friend for the first time in a long time, I feel my own inner peace. I feel my own comfort, my own strength.

Peace, which I have wanted for a long time now. My own peace not borrowed. Comfort, which I thought only belonged to others, now belongs to me. Happiness in a whirl of confusion...yet comforted by those memories of you. My thoughts of you is ever so still, ever so calm.

Peace, a word commonly used to describe an emotion. I use this word to describe you. To put what the sum of you is into me...my own peace, my own comfort.

Thank you, for the things you have done. Thank you, for the words you have spoken. Thank you, for your comfort. Thank you, for your peace. Thank you, for everything I know you will do. Thank you, for standing by my side. Simply....Thank You!

Simply you, simply me...simply us in the vast surroundings of love. Simply thoughts of emotions. Simply love...just simple!

Our Delight
(For Joanne and I)

You bring a tear to my eye
Under this moonlit sky
And I'm looking at you wondering....
Why you love me the way you do?
Do you know how much I try to give you?
I'm sure that you've only got a small clue

I have these hopes and dreams
Visions of beams of sunlight...
Dancing across our face
Leaving a small trace
Of a hint of the love in the world
Shown by the look on our faces,
Standing here with smiles in God's good graces

They watch as they see us dance in delight
Reaching out towards each other....
From now on....
Only loving one another!

Smile
(For Joanne)

She walks into the room
And my eyes always seem to catch that smile
On her face as she sees me staring at her
Her smile brightens to hear of the things I've done
This is the smile that won
Won me from the life I lived...
And what I wouldn't give
To see it everyday
The look on her face with a smile so bright
Showing me her happiness and delight

Joanne
(DUH!, For Joanne)

The bliss of looking into her eyes as she peers though mine
And stares into my soul to know and understand my every thought
She looks though a world that none others see
And I wonder how she knows it's really me....
She's broken down walls that have stood tall
Through all the ex loves and lost lives I've lived
She looks at me and understands
The crazy words and the touch of my hands
