This page was designed to provide information on the culture and history of Japan. All the information within the web site I have learned from taking Japanese language courses and from personal research. When I was confronted with a project on certain aspects of Japan, I often turned to the Internet, but found getting the information I wanted difficult, if not impossible because many of the sites I found were in Japanese. I created this site in order to help English-speaking people to understand some of the more interesting aspects of Japanese culture. I hope you find it useful and informative.

Italicized words are Roomaji, Japanese words that have been written in English letters. For those of you interested in the kanji, or Chinese character, representation of some of these words, I will try to include a small kanji section on each page. |
