THE DIORAMA

The artwork titled “Kalayaan Hanggang Kamatayan” (Freedom till Death) is a diorama that depicts the passion and fury of the Filipinos to win their freedom against the Spanish oppressor who colonized the Philippines and deprived them from their freedom for more than 300 years.

The scene represents the battle fought during the Philippine Revolution which started on 1896.

The 56 length x 30 width x 41 height cm diorama contains seven 12 inch figures. Each figures captures a unique emotion & pose portraying the drama in a battle scene with Gat Andres Bonifacio, the Father of the Philippine Revolution at the center top leading the Filipinos to freedom, 5 Filipino Revolutionaries called Katipuneros (belonging to the Magdiwang Faction) only armed with spears and bolos and one Spanish Guardia Civil lying down dead.
