Action Figure of the Philippine Department Cavalry

Phillip Garcia's 1/6th scale action figure of the Philippine Department Cavalary.

When did you start the construction / reseach for your cavalry figure?

Around middle of Last year 2004 completed scratch building it on Jan. 2005 and revsed/upgraded it this month of June.

What set did you start out with for the figure and
horse.  How about the uniforms.

The Horse was originally a Marx horse that I rebuilt and repainted and the Figure I originally used was a BBI body but revised/ replaced the head sculpt to a more Filipino feature look still using a BBI head. The uniforms I finally used was the Dragon Patton riding breeches, Dragon "Kakhi" shirt. and a mix of BBI, Dragon and some scratch built gear. I could break it down for you if you need more info.

What information were you able to obtain from Col.
Ramsey?

He reviewed the information I had and gave suggetions on what excatly the bridle & bit, saddle, # of reins, riding boots, rifle, blankets, location of bayonet and canteen they 26th Phillipne scout used at that period of the start of the Pacific WWII.

Thanks for the interest.

Philip
