This page is designed to provide you with the information needed to get your own copy of the Colonization of Mars on CD-ROM. The materials are formatted in MS Word 97-2000 via RTF and is also included in MS Word version 6.0, so just about any version of MS Word or Wordperfect will open up the documents.

Actually, the CD contains all three of my units: The literature unit, Ben and Me; the science unit, Mt. St. Helens; and of course the Colonization of Mars Unit. All the units come complete with all the lesson plans, activities, and so forth.  The Colonization of Mars Unit contains all the lesson plans, worksheets, activities, resources pages with hyperlinks, short video and audio clips, and I've just added a sample unit test. The test is based on Bloom's Taxonomy, meaning that the questions which are in multiple choice, matching, true/ false, alternative answer, essay, and performance tasks have been generated at different levels of cognitive development. The test contains approximately 80 questions and a complete list of unit/ test objectives is also included to assist with developing other questions. You'll find that many of the questions appear very difficult and they are, however, I am a firm believer that we often take a student's abilities for granted and a student needs to be challenged to think and perform beyond his/her current abilities if he/she is to develop critical thinking skills and an ability to be resourceful.

I've just updated the CD so that it's much more user friendly.  Now when you place the CD into the drive, a menu will pop-up and allow you to select the unit you wish to view.  A second menu is also accessible that allows you to connect directly to the websites of the included units.  In addition, there is a third link to my new Computer Service website which is still under construction, but you are free to visit and browse.  I have include images of what the pop-up menus and CD contents look like so you can see what you will be receiving.

I am currently selling the CD with all the above mentioned materials for $20.00 which includes priority shipment throughout the continental United States; international shipping may be more, but that can be negotiated.  I currently accept personal checks, money orders, cashier's checks, or credit cards through a service known as PayPal.
