REMISSONG

its origin comes from the French word "remoissonner" which means "reaper of the new harvest" Blazon of arms: Or a chevron gules between three trefoils vert. Crest: a trefoil of the arms. I haven't come across any Remissongs in Luxembourg, nowadays. As far as I know the only Remissongs are in the US where two of my gg grand-mothers brothers emigrated to. The Remissong's found on familysearch.com (search for Remissong) are descendants of Maria *1845 went to the US.

According to the book written by Aender HATZ of the Luxembourgish State Archives in 1883 REMISSONG Pierre (one person) went to the US and in 1891 REMISSONG Guillaume (five people - 2 men and 3 women) went to the US.
