I'm guessing this is the first assignment Richard Avery got when he came to Chris-Craft in 1962 - "freshen-up" the original 1961 design (available in either a hardtop or express). Indeed, the latter model clearly bears the hallmarks of his cabin window design. From 1965-68 CC  made a similar 57 footer in either steel or aluminum - can you spot the stylistic differences?
