For all intents and purposes, the 70 foot Motoryacht was the same boat as the 68' MY with an added flared bow. This allowed CC to claim an "honest" 70 feet even with the more appealing, sloping forward transom which actually "shortened" the vessel. (Much in the same way the 58' Riviera MY became the 60' Flushdeck using the same hull - but with the less stylish, sloping back transom). In any case, two versions of the 70' Roamer were produced - the Motoryacht pictured above and described here, and a Yacht Fisherman model with a cockpit. The magnificent Roamer Motoryacht pictured above has had only two owners. Often seen cruising up and down the west coast of the United States she was extensively upgraded in 1997 with new electrical & plumbing systems, exquisite new tongue & groove soles & overheads and new cabinets and bookshelves crafted out of mahogany & maple. All three staterooms enjoy ensuite heads with separate enclosed showers and granite counters. And a full-sized Jacuzzi in the master bath keeps the owner calm as the bills roll in. In the galley, handcrafted mahogany cabinets & drawers and granite counters surround the chef who draws provisions from a side-by-side Traulsen refrigerator/freezer and cooks on a Jenn-air stove complete with grill & rotisserie, as well as a conventional/convection oven. In the large main salon, handcrafted maple cabinets & desk grace voyagers, as does a 32" TV, dual deck VCR, and a sound system with Bose surround sound (which is also connected to Bose speakers throughout yacht). For more mundane tasks, a Macintosh 7200 computer awaits - complete with wireless Internet connections. Staying cool in tropical climes is easy with nine onboard airconditioning systems powered by 2-15kw generators underway. With a Sea Recovery Water maker you'll never go thirsty - should libations from the bars ever run out. On top, a full-salon sized flyingbridge commands the seas, and....,well you get the idea. |
