Thought of the day:
"The only sure thing about luck is that it will change."
- Wilson Mizner

1. Are you superstitious?

Not really, although I do get a little un-nerved if I see three of the number "6" together.

2. What extremes have you heard of someone going to in the name of superstition?

My sister, Sharon, cooks a meal with black eyed peas and greens every New Year's. I had never heard of that before. From my school days, I remember having to avoid stepping on sidewalk cracks, because "step on a crack, break your mother's back", and also we couldn't wear anything green on Thursdays, although I can not remember why.

3. Believer or not, what's your favorite superstition?

I use the expressions, "knock on wood", and "keep your fingers crossed" frequently, although I don't really believe in them. Would "be careful what you wish for, you might get it" be considered a superstition?

4. Do you believe in luck? If yes, do you have a lucky number / article of clothing / ritual?

Yes/No/Not really.... I believe more in the power of positive thinking than in "luck", and that "everything happens for a reason", although those beliefs have been tested to the extreme lately! John and I do have a "lucky" number, although "how lucky" has come into question. For years and years, I have worn red socks while the Buffalo Bills are playing on Sundays. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

5. Do you believe in astrology? Why or why not?

No, although I read my horoscope from time to time to see if it relates to me. Sometimes, they are so general, they could apply to anyone. What can I say? Whatever will be, will be...
