Song Is Dedicated To You
You Are A Very Special and

Whenever this song plays it's my hope you shall think of me as I will be of you. Without you this page could not have been. We laugh, play, support in the darkest hours, and share of the self ... You've been my sunshine though and not my shadow. You will always to be the breath of life next to my heart, because, you see.......

MY PRECIOUS FRIENDS,
YOU ARE TO ME...
Flying AngelTHE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS

It must have been cold there in my shadow
to never have sunlight on your face.
You've always been content to let me shine.
You've always walked one step behind.

I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength,
only a face without a name,
and I never once heard you complain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero
and everything that I'd like to be.
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the Wind beneath my Wings.

You might have thought it went unnoticed
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth
That I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero
and everything that I'd like to be.
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the Wind beneath my Wings.
Angel in Tarpon

I

LOVE YOU

FOR BEING "YOU"

SPECIAL JUST AS YOU ARE

Did you know there are two kinds of angels? One type has made it all the way to the top - You know, saw "You Know Who" - Well, these angels are here to help each Earthling. Since everyone knows the co-habitants of Earth consist of men from 'Mars' and women from 'Venus', we won't need to explain that - Right? There is, also, the other type of angel who has not quite arrived "Up There" yet. But they are still very important, since they tend to assist the other angels. On a clear day you can see both types of angels hovering somewhere in the distance between Heaven and Earth merrily dancing amidst the rainbows.

Angels are scattered around the globe. While working they are incognito and you can't tell them apart from an Earthling. Yet, when such an angel is met one senses that there is just a bit of something different in their presence ... something almost mystical or ethereal. They sort of stand apart from the rest, not above but just near. Well, ... those angels ... they are my friends, the very breath of life next to my heart. *smiles* Were it not for you this web site would not be here this day.

Know how tough it is to talk about yourself
when this site is for and about others ... and not me?
~*~Sighs~*~ Well, here goes...

I'm a writer with a fondness for poetry and philosophy. While my hand may write the words, the poetry itself is authored by every soul as it is reflective of a central essence called "feeling" that lies within each of us continually ebbing and flowing while we surf upon the unpredictable tides of life.

I am spiritual as it would apply to a universal consciousness of humanity within mankind (not to be confused with psychic or religious fanaticism please). I hesitate to mention an astrological curiosity, because most lack a true knowledge and understanding of what it was meant to be and tend to pass judgment in this state of mental unawareness. Yet, it was in its exploration that I discovered the great shame there is to be found in condemnation without investigation.

Unless one seeks and gains knowledge about a matter, how can one truly and truthfully know what they are or are not believing in? I don't think it was meant to blindly take another's word for something without checking out some facts first. Isn't that gossip or here-say? Even a disciple's desire for proof was not condemned. There is nothing "wrong" with ignorance ... it's an opportunity to gain the knowledge needed. This alone offers a measure of control over one's life and destiny. In my opinion, stupidity is highlighted by a perverse satisfaction in a foolish choice to "knowingly" remain in a blind ignorance.

There is as much responsibility for what one knowingly "doesn't know" as there is for what one "does know". It is sad how many relinquish control over their life to a fear of the unknown. Along this same vein, is my belief that there is no one person any smarter than another ... even an adult has much to learn from a child. One can possess more skill, knowledge or wisdom (wise use of knowledge) in a particular arena and not be "smarter" than the next person. It merely means that we each have strong suits and abilities that are meant to compliment each other's strengths and support the weaknesses. None of us is an island unto the self.

I care deeply about people and the process of living. If I am able to enlighten where darkness once loomed, then I have helped another human being improve the quality of their living existence. We are here to assist each other through what can be a perilous life at times. Thankfully, we don't all go through the same things at the same time.

Angel - Christmas

I use a terrific program called "ICQ" that's priceless and doesn't cost a thing. Many of you who had it in its early development will remember and relate to the terror of those times of "uh-ohs" with sudden pop-up messages and a ton of flashing icons before ICQ was cured of the major 'bugs' ... *giggle* ... Someone got the "Raid" for us though and it's a far cry better now. Me, ... well, I am very grateful there are my friends here each day just a click away. I made plenty of errors to find out later it was a software problem and learned that programs were less perfect than people. Many freely offered forgiveness for my shortsightedness. There were those that helped me when I could not help myself and to them I am more eternally thankful for their selflessness than I can express without a tear.

Interpersonal relationships are about being a best friend in the good and the bad times, loving, caring, sharing, even patience, tolerance, compromise and, yes, ... even chastisement, since it is also love. They are also about being admittedly wrong and still finding forgiveness for our human frailties being extended. It is "from" the act of giving without thought of the self that we truly receive ... It's not in "receiving" that one finds the means or pathway to give, for this would be like someone being a sponge who must be squeezed to return what they had taken in .. just to be left void and dry once again. We receive in direct proportion to what we actually "give", not the other way around. Please note this doesn't mean "trade," since this is just what it is when one gives something and then expects to receive as a result from where or whom they had given to. This certainly does shed a new light on love in relationships. When did you last hear, "I'll love you as long as you always do such and such." That is not the nature of love ... not true love ... ask any parent. Yet, that does not mean one is suppose to accept or tolerate bad behavior or maltreatment either. It is healthy to have self-respect and love of one's self with the awareness that one deserves the right to be fairly treated with elements of common courtesy, decency and respect.

I may not walk this road again and I never want to have to think, "If I had only ... then maybe that wouldn't have happened." So, I strive to be all I can in any given moment and sometimes I can try too hard. This Angel falls short of perfection, too ... but life is about at least making a sincere effort to do what we know is the right thing to do and no one has to tell us that. I believe any problem is an opportunity to find the solution and never can a problem to exist without a solution. Just think about that truth a moment. I find there are two great turmoils repeatedly experienced. One, is not accurately defining the problem and the other is not liking the solution to the existing problem...but a solution it is nonetheless.

I've loved working out on my home gym, but a mishap caused this to cease for the time being. My involvement with computers has increased since it proves to be on an invaluable tool for overcoming the cognitive difficulties and a great link to a wealth of knowledge.

I have met some incredible people on the internet, of whom I have come to dearly love and am so very proud to call "friend". They are most precious and priceless to me ... including those I may have "bumped heads with." I believe the person with whom one is at odds with is perhaps the greatest teacher of the self one could have in that precise moment in life. Therefore, I must also embrace the potter who may have unpleasantly assisted in the process of adding a greater definition to the path of my life and helping to mold me into the person who I am today.

Even though I would find it easier to dwell on and esteem those who have given the richest of love and encouragement along the way, I must also remember those that blessed me in stressful ways. A muscle only grows if it has been stressed during exercise. If our limits are never stressed, then we will never grow beyond who and how we are. Painful? Yes, all growth is, but not unbearable. Try exercising a muscle you haven't use in a while. See? How much more meaning does this add to, "Bless those who would curse you or spitefully use you" or, perhaps, "If I didn't care, why would I bother...?"

Angel Sailing

OH! Must not forget my 'first love'...the beautiful, mysterious ocean. I love anything to do with the water ... sailing, fishing or just watching its movements. I live 1 1/2 miles from the Gulf in Florida, but prefer the eastern coastline because of the excitement and mystery of the ocean. I may attempt parasailing someday, since sky diving is out of the question. Hmm ... maybe gliding through a canyon. I'm open to most all life's activities as a new adventure to at least try twice...Who knows?!...If once was not very good, does it mean all other times are to be the same or that the next time would be a negative experience? Are all salads and cooking methods the same ... I don't think so! Fear should not govern our lives either ... just prudence.

Among the things already mentioned, I have also loved: tubing down a river just west of New Orleans where the river became more lucrative due to $70 falling from the cooler into it and then proceeded to quickly float out of reach; climbing sitting in a tree for hours; watching a squirrel watch me while it scampered to and fro; a walk in the woods feeling that sense of at-one-ment with nature; listening to the cooing of a dove while I hovered between a dream and wakefulness; pondering life while gazing at stars, then swatting the mosquitos that interrupted my contemplations; sensing the romance and intensity of passion while swimming in the ocean under a full moon; hearing music and remembering a time when ...; giggling while sneaking cold feet against warm skin; pillow fights just cuz; spending hours cooking for someone to discover I had just burnt the garlic bread after the telephone rang; raising and breeding the beautiful breed of Dobermans; impulsively driving across the country from San Diego just to see the New Year come in at Times Square and depart for home again the following day ... These are only but a few of my memories and I shall spend the rest of my days cultivating more.

I am the type of person that is flexible and adaptable to my environment with a hovering sense of earthy practicality. I can be quite spontaneous and willing to discover and experience new things. Well, maybe not the extremely bizarre things :) - balance is a key factor to all things in life, too. Good company, stimulating conversation and the sharing of laughter add joy to living. Sharing knowledge and ideas bring fulfillment and a sense of purpose into my life. The ebbs and tides of life are most intriguing while being the most perplexing.

I sit in wonderment and awe of life. I have gazed twice upon death's door and was blessed to learn much about mortality and what is truly important in living. This moment is all one has to be and do all we can ... Yesterday is dead and, as such, must be buried. We are resurrected anew whenever we awaken to a new day. Tomorrow has yet to be born and life shall forever be a series of decisions that none of us can escape. What we choose to do on this day will come into effect when the morrows are born. So, we'd do well to plant good seeds in order that our tomorrows may be found sweeter and more fruitful than our yesterdays may have been!

Angel in Jersey

I've traveled extensively throughout U.S. in my life. I have lived and learned in many places, such as Japan where I learned humbleness from a woman who honored me with her elated enthusiasm in having an "American woman friend."

I lived in Hawaii for three years where I embraced moments of this alluring paradise seducing my soul as I sat upon the ledge of a tiny inlet feeling the ocean's cool spray on my skin as it rushed against the rocks while watching dolphins play upon the horizon of a setting sun in awe of their carefree existence.

There was also Alaska where there were long days of summer to delight in melting popsicles, captivating scenery and such lingering childhood memories of decades past of crusted snow eating the strap-less boots and leaving this child perplexed as to what I should do with my stocking feet. It was there that I discovered my clothes getting smaller and becoming adamant in my protest that they were shrinking, as only a 5 year old can do. Of course, through a mother's knowledge and patience, I became enlightened that I was "growing" instead ... *sighs* ... Some things will never change, I guess. *giggles*

It is my life-long dream to tread upon the land of as many countries as God and time would grant to me in the remaining days of my now "mid-40s" life (oops, just slipped). I long to meet people and share in the universal smile, experience new cultures and traditions, delight in exotic foods and wines while reveling in the historic beauty of the countrysides, and ingesting the aromas of homecooking while sitting in the home of a foreign friend. Perhaps my remaining journies of such unique memoirs is meant for a time when someone special enters into my life. Who knows ... even fate has its own infinite timing as it graces our lives with its blessings. Our only task is to avail ourselves with eyes to see as we open the palms of our heart to receive the treasures so handed to us. A closed palm cannot receive, but neither can it give.

Good things are happening ... We met ... Didn't we, my friend?!

Angel Looking At You - Love Ya
Dawn of Discovery
Awed by apparent beauty
Taking not heed of the thorns,
I have entered rose gardens
To exit battered and torn.
I have known the barrenness
Of the lonely desert sands
As I have sought a solitude
From the cold of groping hands.
I thought there lied good reason
In a cool and wintry heart
Until I came to realize
I had become brittle and sharp.
The dawn of discovery
Came from a hushed whisper,
"Love must abound from within ...
Faith is truly Hope's sister."
There passes a gentle warmth
As I dream of clover fields
And know there shall come a day
To yet see daisies at my heels.
