Connie with her loving mom... We took this picture in her room with her throw away camera. I am so glad,
this picture is everywhere I LOVE it. We had matching night gowns that Grandma made us..

I Love this picture of our precious CONNIE HOLLY PATE!

This is a beautiful and loving gift for Angel Connie from my dear friend, Carol, mom to Angel Michael.

We Do Not Need A Special Day

We do not need a special day
To bring you to our minds
The days we do not think of you
Are very hard to find

Each morning when we awake
We know that you are gone
And no one knows the heartache
As we try to carry on

Our hearts still ache with sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know

Our thoughts are always with you
Your place no one can fill
In life we loved you dearly
In death we love you still

There will always be a heartache
And often a silent tear
But always a precious memory
Of the days when you were here

If tears could build a staircase
And heartaches make a lane
We'd walk the path to Heaven
And bring you home again

We hold you close, within our hearts
And there you will remain
To walk with us throughout our lives
Until we meet again

Our family chain is broken now
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again.

Janet,
Connie Holly was just a little sweetheart that touched me so. I really do believe what I wrote here.
She just came by for a while and then went back home.
You will see her again one day soon, There is no time in eternity

A Special Birthday

Please God, make them remember that today is a special birthday.
Make them understand that the memories don't go away.
Bless them with ears to hear and hearts that care.
Enable them to listen while I share.
Shelter them that they may never know my pain.
Help them to help me know that my child's life was not in vain.
Help them to remember, Lord,
that I wish my child was here so we could still celebrate.
To understand that I still feel the nearness of my child.
To see beyond my smile and the words "I'm OK"
Please God, let just one remember that
TODAY IS A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY.

Happy Birthday My Sweet Child

Candles may be brightly burning,
Upon a special birthday cake.
Friends and family may be singing,
To what appears an empty space.

You see, that space is only empty,
To your normal human sight.
For your child is always near you,
With a spirit that is bright.

To touch may not be possible,
Although your child exists,
Not in a way you understand,
But with a presence that persists.

So celebrate this special day,
The day your child was born,
Shout "Happy Birthday My sweet Child!!!"
Even though you deeply mourn.

"THE DAY"

The day must come,
Where I reach my journey's end,
And a shroud of flowers circle my head,
So understand that day may come,
Even before I am able to stand,
No given age has been promised to me,
Upon this earthly domain,
For God only knows my parting hour,
Even if I part within a day,
Or when I grow old and frail.
So the thing you must remember,
Is that my soul cannot remain.
And when you visit my earthly shell,
With tears of pain, upon your cheek,
Do not forget to thank God above,
For preparing my home so soon,
And when days become a heavy road,
And you feel the need of me
Never think you can find me here,
Where a stone of granite hears my name,
For I have departed there long ago,
So you must seek me with God's love,
In the heavens far above.
Just place your hands upon your heart
To feel my endless love for you,
And whisper, "My child, I will love you,
And from here you will never part.

Connie Holly (Keep Your Eyes on JESUS)

Connie Holly the summer before she cheered for pop warner football 1998 I miss her so much,
I miss brushing that long blonde hair. This is at the park around the corner from our home.

Gone are the days we used to share,
But in our hearts you are always there,
The gates of memory will never close,
We miss you more than anyone knows,
With tender love and deep regret,
We who love you will never forget.

Let it not be said my life was in vain,
I've just moved on to a higher plane.
So I can keep better watch over you,
As you move on like you need to do
Though this life has reached an end,
I'm waiting for you around the bend.
I beg you please don't weep for me!
It's not so bad for soon you'll see,
That I will linger long past this sunset,
In the hearts of you who love me yet.

Here is a picture of Connie Holly at Disneyland 1997 one of our last outing as a family.

This is the only 2 granddaughters that were born into my family, the BOWENS, my maiden name... Jennifer & Connie were inseparatable, they spent lots of time together. They were 14 years apart, and they were also the first 2 grandchildren born in the family. Jennifer was about 2 months pregnant with Ryan. Connie could hardly wait, but death took Connie 8 weeks before Ryan was born. We talk about Connie so much that Ryan knows everything about her, he speaks of her often in his first grade class.

This day will be celebrated in memory of our Connie Holly. She will remain forever in our HEARTS.
Love Alan, Janet, Ron & Max
