PAM HOGG in BRAZIL

`I couldn´t decide what my object was going to be,  I´ve got so many.  Originally I wanted it to be my reliquary,  which is a little child martyr´s coffin made of glass.  So we took a photo of this corner of my room which is full of different things, like my huge television which everyone calls the Screen on the Cross.  I´m mad about religious things.  I´ve got loads of crosses from all over the world.  But what I´ve finally chosen is a bottle called the Demon Drink which I think is quite fitting.  I was in Brazil with a friend,  we were walking through the streets looking for a bar and this little shop beckoned us.  We walked in and discovered that it was a voodoo shop.  It was unbeliveable,  I was buying up all kinds of things,  like horses´ theeth.  I saw this bottle  and it was great as it has an image of the devil on the front of it.  I just went wild .  When I eventually got round to opening it,  the bottle contained some wine which was the darkest liquid I´ve ever seen.  It didn´t  end up down my throat but down the kitchen sink´ .
